I started 5 year ago as MAM remodeling as a dba doing painting on houses. After a year doing houses I got the opportunity to do a commercial project. After that I create a corporation as MAM Constructions Services. Right now I have a project manager, superintendents, estimators, and most important an excellent crew 👏 every project we get 30% + as sub of subs and 45% + as subcontractor directly. But I need customers 😢 need help selling 😫 all our growth is because people like our work and give us more work but I need new customers 😢 a sale person that knows how to get customers in Constructions. 🤔

So what if I am pricing it out to do the work? Like for example building a fence or a deck. What is the proper way to research what is the going rate for each scope of work im performing. siding, flooring, tile work, decks, fences etc.

My name is Abdullah, I'm 20 years old and I really have fell in love with the construction industry, at this point in my life I am kind of stuck not knowing the most efficient way to get into the construction industry. my goal is to one day be in a position like yours but I am stuck between going to school and getting a 4 year bachelors in construction management or simply going straight to work learn the trades and slowly start to do my own work. I guess my question would be if you wanted to get to where you are now at my age how would you have done it and what steps would you have taken.
